NOSTALGIC NASHVILLE ELOPEMENT

This was by far one of my favorite elopements to photograph. These two are adventurous, the sweetest beings who radiate sunshine and love, and I was so happy they chose me to be a part of their special day.
The day started off with a cloudy afternoon at Narrows of the Harpeth, where we all climbed up an "easy" trail to the overlook. Needless to say, we were all out of breath by the top, and none of us brought water, oops.
But the view from the top (as always) was worth it!
We played around on the mountain for a little while before making our descent back to the air conditioning of our cars!
After that, we drove to Centennial Park and the Parthenon Museum, where the sun finally decided to show her beautiful face, which made the shadows in the columns SUCH a vibe!
This day was easygoing, carefree, and full of giggles and cheesy smiles. Just the way it should be.
Kind Words from Maddie and Heath:
"Faith is an angel sent from heaven above. So blessed to have found her! My now husband and I were both surprised with how comfortable we were with her!!! She went above and beyond for us: like we practically climbed a mountain together no problem! I’m soooo in love with my sneak peaks (I had them quick too) I cannot wait to see the rest and she had her cute dogs with her. 15/10 experience!"
How Did You Meet?
I worked at a boutique inside of a local market, and Heath came in one day to get lunch at one of the restaurants inside the market. While Heath was waiting for his food killing time he wandered into my shop. He liked the music I was playing in the store, some Turnpike Troubadours song because he sprung up a conversation with me. This band will come into play again later. He says he was flirting with me, I was oblivious.
About a week later he came in again "for lunch" and asked me on a date. At this point I still didn't even know his name but I said yes. A few days later we went on our first date and have only spent a handful of days apart since.
How Did Heath Propose?
It was just him, our dog, and I. A moment I'm so glad was just ours.
Last July he was taking our dog out to run and insisted I go with him. I didn't normally but did this once. At one point in the evening I drove the truck so as we were leaving, Heath pulled over and pretended something was wrong with it and made me get out. I got out nervous because I thought I broke something, but he was on one knee asking me to spend our lives together.
What's 3 Things You Like Doing Together?
1. Listening to Music/Going to Concerts
Music in a way brought us together. We love showing each other new songs or new-old songs. We've put on a few great performances while driving!
2. Being "dog parents" to our blue tick hound, Boone.
Neither of us could imagine life without him. He would've been with us at our elopement if our last-minute hotel was pet friendly.
3. We play Wordle together everyday
even if we are apart we make it a point to do it together on the phone :D
Heath, What's Your Favorite Thing About Maddie?
Her free spirit and easy-going personality. Whether we're spending a weekend on the couch or heading to our impromptu wedding she always finds a way to brighten my day.
Maddie, What's Your Favorite Thing About Heath?
His passion and how I learn something new from him every day. He has a way of teaching me new things without ever making me feel less-than or smaller because I didn't know it. He puts his all into everything he does.
What Was Your Favorite Part of Your Wedding Day?
How even though it was impromptu and planned in all of 5 days, it was so stress free. We didn't have to worry about anything or anyone but ourselves which made it that much more romantic and meaningful to us.
We've also never had professional pictures taken so we figured our wedding was a good time as ever to do it. Faith made the whole thing so much fun and comfortable.
After we finished our pictures we went to the drive-thru (don't worry we had a fancy dinner the night before) then went to see Turnpike Troubadours at the Ryman auditorium. Every aspect of our day was special!
