Tennessee is a gorgeous state to get married in. If you're a local, then you know that Tennessee is brimming with tons of things to experience: mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and views for days! I love every venue I've shot at, because each of them offer something unique that the others don't have. But if I had to choose my top three, it would be these:
1. Leeric Lodge & Resort
Leeric Lodge & Resort is one of the best up-and-coming all-inclusive wedding venues of this year, in my opinion. It has something for everyone and has gorgeous views of Center Hill Lake and the surrounding mountains. It's located in Silver Point, Tennessee - about an hour east of Nashville, and 20 minutes west of Cookeville! Some of my favorite things about Leeric Lodge & Resort are:
The View. Obviously. The lodge is situated with panoramic views of Center Hill Lake and the mountains from every one of the 8 bedrooms it has as well as the entirety of the reception space downstairs. Any angle of the main ceremony space has a beautiful view at any time of the day, but at golden hour! - it's sooo dreamy!
The lodge itself is huge! If you're looking for somewhere with overnight accommodations for you and your guests, this is definitely someplace I'd look at. It has 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, a honeymoon suite, a bridal suite (with a separate vanity space for hair and makeup for everyone in your party), a groom's suite, a 4,000 sq. foot reception space with a bar and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake, 6 balconies, a hot-tub, an elevator for handicapped guests - and did I mention that it was completely renovated this year? So new everything!
The Staff are so accommodating and friendly. They really try their best to do everything they can for their couples. If you have questions or need something on you're big day, someone is always there. They also have valet parking to the wedding space for their guests.
Cooper's Cove is located in Townsend, Tennessee, just a half hour from Pigeon Forge. Some of my favorite things about Cooper's Cove are:
The main ceremony space. It features an aqua blue pond surrounded by greenery and willow trees. It really gives off a "steel magnolias" vibe, it's very charming and very southern.
The staff. They were amazing to the couple and to their vendors. It rained the day of this particular wedding, and the coordinators were on it to move everything into the reception space. They even offered the couple and I the opportunity to come back another day to shoot in the sunshine at the main ceremony space. They're so kind and really make you feel right at home. Lucky for us, the rain cleared up so we got to hop outside for some quick photos with the wedding party!
The "bridal" suite and "groom's" suite are across the parking lot from one another. I love the concept of the couple not being able to see each other before they're ready. Don't get me wrong, I love elopements where the couple can get ready together and have that quiet time with each other, but when you're having a large wedding, there's just something exciting about waiting to see what each other look like for your big day.
The reception space has plenty of space. Since we had to move everything indoors to the reception space, the bride was a little worried that guests would feel crammed in. But once we made our way into the reception space, which is set up like a large barn, there was plenty of space for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing! Even though there were about 120 people, there was still room to breath and let loose!
Mountain Willow Manor is located in Whitwell, Tennessee, just two hours from Nashville. Some of my favorite things about Mountain Willow Manor are:
The house is so classic, it hurts. it was built in the 90's so it has amenities like air conditioning, hot water, etc. but when you walk through the main doors it's like you're stepping back in time to the 1800's. It has the southern charm of an old family farmhouse, which makes it the perfect space for intimate weddings. It has overnight lodging available, and did I mention claw-foot bathtubs!
The reception hall has so much charm. It's a large barn with extremely tall ceilings and a gorgeous stone fireplace. There's ample space for dancing, cake cutting, socializing, and eating dinner.
The property is huge. The house sits on 65 acres of private property as well as tons of hiking trails to enjoy. There's even an original log cabin from the 1800's on site!
