I know I say this about pretty much every wedding at this point, but I loved capturing this wedding! Southall Meadows in Franklin, TN is one of the cutest little venues I've been to, and it was the perfect place for Robin and Kailey's special day. I loved getting to document Kailey and Robin's day. The small moments they shared with each other and their family. The goofy smiles and all the laughs. It was a joy to be able to be a part of it all.
The day started off with Kailey, her mama, her future mama-in-law, and the girls getting ready in the quiet space within the venue. I walked into the room to a flurry of laughter and good music, and Kailey and her mama greeted me with a hug. Kailey was worried because she had left her wedding band at home on accident, but luckily, my intuition that morning told me to bring my jewelry box in case anyone's earrings or anything needed to be replaced, so we had the perfect band for her to use from a previous styled shoot I did. It was her something borrowed for the day :D The girls finished getting ready, and then Kailey put on her dream of a dress. It was a perfect match to her personality.
After taking photos with Kailey and her mama and her mama-in-law, it was time for Kailey and Robin's first look! Robin was all jittery waiting for the special tap on his shoulder and when he turned around, it was an instant wave of calm for the both of them. They held each other tight for their little moment, and then we did bridal party and family photos.
We did their couples portraits next, and I had such a hard time choosing pictures to put in this gallery because every photo of these two is perfection. Their laughter is contagious and when the sunshine shows over them, that's the moments I live for.
After their photos we had some downtime before the ceremony, so I took this opportunity to take some photos of their reception space when the sun was still up. the light leaks into the lofty barn through the seems in the walls made for little rainbows on everything!
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! All the guests gathered at the large oak tree on the property and patiently waited for Robin, the bridal party, and Kailey and her dad. On the way, one of the ringbearers refused to walk any further, so Kailey's sister and maid-of-honor came to carry him the rest of the way. When Kailey and her dad made their way to the tree, Robin's eyes glassed over with all the joyful tears and smiles. The ceremony was beautiful, full of laughter, tears, and one heck of a first kiss!
The venue gave Robin and Kailey a celebratory drink, and they socialized with family for a little while before cocktail hour when I stole them again for some photos at the tree, just the two of them.
Once we were done, we all socialized for cocktail hour for a bit and then it was time for their grand entrance. The entire bridal party did a game of "flip-cup" and to be honest, I don't know who won it, but let's just say it was Kailey's team, hehe :D
Kailey and Robin's dads gave very moving speeches, and yes I did shed a tear or two. Then it was time for Kailey and Robin's first dance and just the way he looks at her is enough to make you smile. When Kailey and her dad did their dance, Karley (her sister) was a ball of tears and Robin hugged his new sister. Kailey and Karley looked on as Robin and his mama had their dance and the both of them cried together as well.
After dinner time it was time to DANCE and the DJ had the best songs! After a few hours it was time to go home, but not before Kailey and Robin enjoyed their private moment with their last dance together of the day.
It was the perfect ending to a beautiful beautiful day.

How Did You Meet?
We met in high-school. Two of our friends introduced us to one another. We dated in high-school for a short amount of time. We ended up seeing different people after and in college. Post college we rekindled on a night out with our friends. The rest was history ;)
How Did Robin Propose?
Robin proposed to me in Charlotte, North Carolina at a brewery called Sycamore! Sycamore was some of our very first dates where he asked me to be his girlfriend. The night was so special.
What's 3 Things You Like Doing Together?
Our top 3 favorite things to do together would be traveling and exploring, playing sports together, and cuddling with our sweet dogs!

My favorite thing about Kailey is her open-mindedness and confidence. She has got it all.

I would say my favorite thing about Robin is his kind heart and unconditional love he gives me. He is my biggest fan.
What Was Your Favorite Part of Your Wedding Day?
Our favorite part of our wedding day was spending time with friends and family! We had a blast dancing the night away. It was amazing to have all our people together in the same room.
